Meteor Crater is open 7 days a week 364 days a year. Our hours of operation are: Memorial Day to Labor Day 7:00am to 7:00pm and the rest of the year 8:00am to 5:00pm. We are closed Christmas Day.
The Interactive Learning Center is one of the first of its kind, housing interactive displays containing information about meteorites, asteroids, impact cratering mechanics, and the formation of Meteor Crater. There is a Big Screen Theater showing our movie "Collisions and Impacts" and an Astronaut Wall of Fame displaying the American men and women who have gone into space. There are three different lookout points to view the crater. Also weather permitting we have a guided rim tour of the crater which takes you for a mile hike. The first one is at 9:15 AM and the last one at 2:15 PM.
